Yip, I did it! I joined........

Well, I finally did it. I joined Weightwatchers Online! And I LOVE it! Now, most of you may ask me why. (Like my husband, He say’s “you look fine!”) Well, I’m tired of being “fine”. I have had trouble sticking with the point system, this time around. I had such good willpower the last time. (2 years ago) My weight is still the same as it was two years ago! But I quit exercising, and that made my weight shift! So this time I am eating healthy again and running on my gazelle again. Since I’m paying for weightwatchers online for 3 months. I’ll be most likely to stick to it!
It is so cool, I made my chicken recipe that we all love so much last night, all I have to do is put the recipe in the “Recipe Builder” section and Bam!, it tells me how many points per serving! 7 Points! I also am more inclined to plan my meals ahead so that I can count my points ahead of time! So, I signed up yesterday and I have even exercised 3 days in a row! My goal is to loose 10 pounds. Like I said that is a GOAL. That’s not even close to where they say I should be. My height and build say I should weight in between 115-141. Could you imagine me at 115? Are you on crack people? That is sick!
Oh, and now that it is Lent, I am refusing to eat candy or diet coke! That should help!
So the new plan is on its way, I’m doing great so far! Hope the rest of you who are working at getting some weight off are doing well. I’ll post my Gain/Lose on Thursdays! Until next time……..

If you have been keeping up on my posts...I mentioned a surprise that we had done on Tuesday evening. Well, that surprise was for Scott... I had the kids pictures taken with Amber at Photo Graphics. Amber got them up today, so we surprised Scott tonight and showed them to him. They turned out pretty good. I put a password on the pictures so if you want to see them and you know us personally, then shoot me a email or leave me a comment and I'll send you the password! Thanks Amber! You did a great job, Again!.... Do you think I should enter Kayla in "America's Next Top Model"? LOL

Alone Again

Well, our week started off good. Sunday, Scott left for Racine, WI for combine school. Hopefully, this is the last time....2 times in two months....at least next time if he leaves he will only go to Champaign. So the kids and I spent the afternoon at my mom and dads to watch the Illini beat Indiana 65-52. :) Then on Tuesday night we had a few things up our sleeve.... one I will not mention because it is a surprise. Then after that we went to Dairy Queen to eat and then on to the NCHS Basketball game. It was senior night and it was Kyles first Basketball game for the season. He did pretty good considering he is only 3 (almost 3). Wednesday night we stayed at home to watch the Illini play again. Although the outcome wasn't as good. Mallory Kocher came over to watch the game with us, the kids enjoyed that. Thursday was the big night. Kayla had tumbling at 5 in olney and I needed to go to walmart. So we took Ashley Ochs along with us to help out (things go alot smoother and faster when Ashleys around). After Tumbling and walmart I came home, dropped the kids and Ashley off at home and I went to Newton Central to pre-register Kayla for Kindergarden. I can't hardly believe she is almost 5. She has enjoyed Pre-K so much. I know Kindergarden will be a hit. She has matured so much while in the pre-k program and I am so proud of her! Scott also made it home late Thursday night. It is great to have him home again.... and to have been missed so much! He hasn't stopped picking on all of us. Friday night Kayla had her P.I.E Social at her school from 3-7. So we waited for Scott to get off work and we went to make a pie! oreo crust and vanilla pudding. It was great! After the pie was made we went to eat at Pizza Man! YYYYYUUUUMMMMM. So that leaves us with today. We woke up to snow. :( I'm tired of snow. Scott and Kyle went to the farm to work on the backhoe motor so it's just me and Kayla. Tomorrow we are going to the St. Thomas Soup supper and Scott has to go to Effingham for the K of C meeting. But wait I believe the Illini Play...Yip the Illini take on Ohio State at noon on sunday. Go Illini! Hope everyone has a good week. Until next time........ Ok, well Scott just informed me that the KC meeting is next Sunday...so much for my plans :(

The Wait is on....

Well, the wait is on. I have applied for the 2009 Radiography program at OCC. Applications have to be in by March 1, 2009. I have done all that is asked of me.....

A. Complete an application to OCC by March 1 for admission in May. CHECK

B. Submit official copies of high school transcript and college transcripts. CHECK

C. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for all college level courses. CHECK

D. COMPASS/ASSET test scores must be in the 34th national percentile or above in English, reading and mathematics in accordance with OCC admission standards. CHECK

E. Successfully complete General Biology I with a grade of C or better. CHECK (I got an A)

F. Successfully complete CIS 1101 or higher level computer class or approved documentation of computer proficiency through work experience or approved high school computer coursework. CHECK (lots of computer classes at LLC)

G. Successfully complete HEA 2299 which includes a radiography orientation and 8 hours of agency observation. CHECK

H. All prospective students must review the Program handbook and clinical guide, and complete the form. CHECK

I. It is the policy of OCC to screen its students applying to the Radiography Program for prior criminal convictions as a condition for admission. CHECK....I think.

J. Effective summer semester 2009, recent changes in radiography accreditation standards now require all radiography school graduates to have a minimum of 15 hours of college general education credits from the following subject areas:

Written or oral communication

Math

Social or behavioral science

Natural science

Computer or fine arts

CHECK

Okay thats about it. I looked online today at my transcripts and I currently have a GPA of 4.0 going into the progam. So the process starts on March 1st and I won't find out until the end of March. I hate waiting...... but I am confident that I will be accepted into the program. If not there is something wrong with OCC's program!

Friend in need...

I believe Pam French is having surgery on Thursday. She is in Arizona with one of the best surgeon's around. She has bleeders in the brain. I don't know a whole lot about it but I just heard that surgery is set for Thursday. Let's all say a few prayers for Pam. Pam is one of the sweetest girls I know. If anyone has any more information please leave a comment.

Praying for Tess.....

The other day I was checking a fellow bloggers blog and came across a website for a little 2 year old girl named Tuesday. Tuesday has..... had cancer. When I started reading her blog it was a few days before she joined the other angels in heaven. I came upon a comment that was posted on her blog from a lady in Morton, IL. Her comment stated that her daughter was just diagnosed with a stage IV neuroblastoma on January 20th. Her name is Tess Swearingen.
I have been reading her journal the past few days . Tess is in Memphis, TN undergoing Chemo for another 27 weeks. I can't imagine what they are going through.... But Tess seems to be taking it very well. Please read their story.....it is simply amazing. I believe you need to sign in and set up a password and such but it's worth it. Pray for Tess.

Fun in the Snow

Scott and I took the kids out to play in the snow this morning. (We had to go out early so that I could watch the Illini play this afternoon, which is what I am doing now.) This is what we accomplished!

Kayla was a lot of help!

Corncob pipe too! (Scott made it)
As Frosty says "Happpppy Birthday! "

The Illini are down by 3 at the half, the last second shot was soooo close!
Let's Go Illini!!
